PRESS: Lukoil asks for tax incentives for Yaregskoye field
MOSCOW, Oct 28 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Lukoil has applied to the government with a request to provide the mineral extraction tax (MET) deduction for its Yaregskoye field of high-viscosity oil in the Komi Republic, business daily Vedomosti reported Wednesday citing sources.
In his letter to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Lukoil’s CEO Vagit Alekperov pointed to the social importance of the project that will provide jobs to local residents. Lukoil would like to receive the tax deduction under the mechanism that has already been used by a number of companies, including Rosneft, Tatneft, and Gazprom Neft, a source familiar with the company’s plans said.
